Willstätt (dpa/lsw) - A fire in a restaurant in Willstätt in the Ortenau district caused damage of several hundred thousand euros. As the police announced on Wednesday evening, the fire broke out in the afternoon. It is believed that a pot forgotten on the stove could have been the cause. But that would have to be determined by a fire expert. Two people were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation. The flames had also hit the roof, it was said. The building is uninhabitable. There was no further information as to whether there were apartments in the building.
