Baden-Württemberg: Senior commits an escape on three tires

Bammental (dpa / lsw) - A senior caused an accident in Bammental (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis) with two injuries - and continued his escape even after losing a tire. According to police reports from Tuesday, the day before the 85-year-old drove from behind into a car waiting in a turning lane. The two occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and the airbag deployed. The senior drove away. A front tire on his own badly damaged car came off on the way. Police officers stopped him almost five kilometers from the scene of the accident in Mauer (Rhein-Neckar district). The man is being investigated for hit-and-run and negligent bodily harm.
