Tuttlingen (dpa / lsw) - After the attack by several masked people on a skate park in Tuttlingen on Halloween, the 16-year-old main suspect was arrested in Switzerland. He is now in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter, the police and prosecutors said on Tuesday. The 16-year-old was wanted on an international arrest warrant and arrested by the Swiss police on Friday in the canton of Solothurn.
A young man suffered severe head injuries in the attack on Halloween night on October 31. He and other adolescents had been beaten and kicked by several perpetrators from a group of masked people. At the beginning of November, the police identified two suspects from Tuttlingen: the 16-year-old and a 17-year-old who was questioned and then released. The 16-year-old has been on the run ever since, and there was an international arrest warrant against him.
The police could not provide any information on the background to the crime on Tuesday.
