Walldorf (dpa / lsw) - In a head-on collision of two cars on the federal highway 291 between Walldorf and Hockenheim (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), three people were injured. According to initial police findings, a 54-year-old driver ignored a red traffic light on Saturday evening when he wanted to turn left in his car onto the junction with Autobahn 5. This resulted in a collision with an oncoming vehicle, according to the Mannheim police. The man and his 56-year-old passenger were slightly injured. The 78-year-old driver of the second car suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All three were taken to the hospital.
