Baden-Württemberg: Three injured in a fire in a residential building

Ostfildern (dpa/lsw) - Three people were injured in a fire in a high-rise building in Ostfildern (Esslingen district). There was a fire on Tuesday morning on the first floor for an initially unknown reason, according to the fire brigade. A resident of the apartment was able to flee the flames alone, and firefighters rescued one resident from the rooms. Both were injured and taken to the hospital. In addition, the emergency services rescued a dog from the fire apartment and several people who were unable to walk using a turntable ladder from the eight-story building. Another resident required medical attention. Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to other homes. The damage caused was initially unclear.
