Baden-Württemberg: truck crashes into crash barrier on A8 and loses tar

Kirchheim unter Teck (dpa / lsw) - A truck lost its load because it drove into a guardrail on Autobahn 8 and then overturned. The charged tar spread on the road on Friday, as the police announced on Saturday. The cargo was still in gravel form, so officials said there was no danger to the environment. The 42-year-old driver of the truck was not injured. According to the police, it is initially unclear why he drove into the guardrail near Kirchheim unter Teck (Esslingen district). The A8 was temporarily closed for the time of the evacuation.
