Baden-Württemberg: Vandals cut down old walnut trees

Ludwigsburg (dpa / lsw) - Vandals felled an old walnut tree in Ludwigsburg. Passers-by noticed the felled tree on Saturday, the police said on Sunday. A nearby park bench had also been damaged by an ax or hatchet. It was not known whether it was one or more perpetrators. The damage amounts to around 10,000 euros. Police have launched an investigation and are asking witnesses to come forward.
