Bavaria: Two hotel fires in Bavaria - seven injured

Just a few hours apart, two hotels in Free State caught fire. While one fire ended lightly, seven people were injured in the other.

Munich (dpa / lby) - Seven people were injured in two hotel fires in the Free State. Among them was an infant. The cause of the fires at the weekend was probably a technical defect in the kitchen area.

First, a hotel in Oberaudorf (Rosenheim district) to the south caught fire on Saturday. An infant and six other people were injured by toxic smoke, a police spokesman said. Several people were taken outside with a turntable ladder during the operation. Nobody had to go to the hospital - the seven slightly injured were treated by the rescue service on site.

In the other corner of the Free State, a hotel in Coburg burned on Sunday night. Ten hotel guests were startled there by a fire alarm, the police said. Accordingly, the fire brigade also brought some of them outdoors with a turntable ladder. Nobody was hurt. The fire broke out due to a short circuit in a refrigerated counter. Lucky in disguise: After the deletion, those affected were allowed to stay overnight in the hotel.
