Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Accident with deer paralyzes train traffic

Ludwigslust (dpa / mv) - An ICE crashed into a deer on the track early Sunday morning on the high-speed line between Schwarzenbek and Büchen. After rescue workers and the police found that it was an animal on the track and that it was still alive, it first had to be put out of its suffering. After the clean-up work was completed, the train was able to continue on its way. Traffic on the route was interrupted for about an hour. Meanwhile, the passengers had to wait on the train.
