Deizisau (dpa / lsw) - From the altar to the tow truck: A wedding parade has escalated on the B10 in the Esslingen district. Several participants in the parade raced in their vehicles with the hazard warning lights switched on, overtook each other and slowed down. Six vehicles were damaged on Saturday near the municipality of Deizisau, but no one was injured, the police said on Sunday.
A 26-year-old overtook a 43-year-old on the hard shoulder, the two luxury cars collided when cutting in, and another parade driver also collided with the two cars.
But that's not all: Because of the accident, the following vehicles had to brake so hard that there were further collisions of three cars. A 46-year-old drove his car into the vehicle of a 28-year-old, who drove into the small car of a 23-year-old.
Traffic on the federal highway had to be closed for three hours in one lane. The police are investigating and looking for witnesses.
