The "Lions" also rely on their own fans for their chance of a first-round surprise. Coach Michael Köllner hopes for a "frantic audience" in the Grünwalder stadium, which is sold out with 15,000 spectators. "We need a day where we clearly surpass ourselves," said Köllner on the task against BVB. The game will be broadcast live on ZDF free-to-air television.

The Franconian second division team takes on the boost from the recent derby win against SpVgg Greuther Fürth at regional division club 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn.
