Bavaria: 24 people in vans with six seats

Ruhstorf an der Rott (dpa / lby) - A man transported 23 people on Autobahn 3 in a van with six seats. The driver and occupants, including 17 children, are all from Ukraine, police said on Monday. It was initially unclear whether they were refugees, as was the question of why the vehicle was so overcrowded when it was checked in Ruhstorf an der Rott (Passau district) on Sunday. The police called a tour bus to pick up the occupants. A fine was initiated against the 21-year-old driver of the van.
