Hohenau (dpa / lby) - It seems to be a kind of trophy: the town sign Bierhütte has been stolen again in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau. It was removed on Ash Wednesday along a local road, including the frame, the police reported on Sunday.
Bierhütte is a part of Hohenau. Because of the funny name, the perpetrators seem to be targeting the town sign. The previous thieves could never be identified.
The week before, unknown persons had already stolen the place-name sign of the same name that had been put up on federal highway 533. Such thefts have happened several times in the past.
