Ingolstadt (dpa / lby) - After the TV search for the discovery of a child's corpse in the Danube near Ingolstadt, the criminal police received more than two dozen new tips. In the ZDF program "Aktenzeichen XY... unsolved" on Wednesday evening, the case of the unknown boy was presented, whose corpse was discovered in May packed and weighed down with a stone in the river.

A total of 27 clues came after the broadcast, said a spokesman for the Ingolstadt police headquarters on Thursday. These indications must first be evaluated. According to a caller, he gave very specific information about the cobblestone with which the body was sunk in the Danube.

The program also initially reported that the facial reconstruction of the dead boy gave precise indications of certain children with possible names. However, the police spokesman did not confirm this on Thursday. The police said, however, that several calls had been received about the possible origin of the child.

The dead boy had been in the water for a long time, possibly months, when it was discovered. How the child died could not be determined due to the condition of the body. A specialized coroner was finally able to show the likely face of the three to seven year old boy.
