Roßtal (dpa / lby) - Three people were injured in a collision between two cars in Roßtal (Fürth district), two of them critically. The 75-year-old driver of one car had probably ignored the right of way when crossing a road, the police said on Monday. As a result, he crashed into another car on Sunday night. The force of the impact then threw the vehicles into an adjacent field.
The 75-year-old was able to get out of the car on his own. His 74-year-old wife had to be freed from the vehicle by firefighters. The injuries of the two were classified as life-threatening at the scene. A rescue helicopter flew the 74-year-old to a clinic. The 75-year-old and the 27-year-old driver of the other car were also taken to the hospital.
