Kelheim (dpa / lby) - A walker discovered three dead puppies in a garbage bag in a forest near Kelheim. Police officers brought the young dogs to a veterinary practice, as the police inspection in Kelheim, Lower Bavaria, announced on Sunday. There the dead puppies were examined. Initially, there were indications that the animals had been violently killed. After further investigations, however, a stillbirth could not be ruled out. The owner may have simply wanted to "dispose of" the animals, the police wrote in the message.
The dead puppies had been lying in the woods for two to three days when they were found on Saturday. The exact age of the animals and the dog breed were initially unclear.
