Bamberg (dpa / lby) - After a serious accident on the Autobahn 73 in Upper Franconia, a driver died in the hospital. As the police announced on Sunday, the 66-year-old lost control of her car near Bamberg on Wednesday a week ago after another driver drove into the rear of her vehicle at high speed.
Her car struck a tree and landed on its roof. The woman was trapped in the car and could only be freed by the fire department. The 66-year-old was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. She died there on Friday.
The 62-year-old who caused the accident from Austria was uninjured. He now had to answer on suspicion of negligent homicide, it said.
