Windischeschenbach (dpa / lby) - A driver was on the road in the Upper Palatinate with loud misfires and flames from the exhaust. According to information from Tuesday, after a tip from a witness, the police stopped the driver of the noisy car on the Autobahn 93 near Windischeschenbach (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district).
The officials had suspected that the noise did not come from a defect, but was due to manipulation. They had the car inspected by an appraiser who confirmed that. Accordingly, the car was driven with the volume of a jackhammer. In addition, there were serious defects in the brakes and headlights.
The driver receives a fine and points in the traffic offender file in Flensburg. The operating license for the car has been cancelled.
