Bavaria: Hot water floods offices in Munich

Munich (dpa / lby) - Hot water from a leak in the district heating pipe flooded a Munich office building and caused considerable damage. The fire brigade announced on Thursday about the incident from the previous day that the 80-degree hot water had run into three basement floors and all elevator shafts. Sometimes the water was half a meter high in the morning, said a fire department spokesman. No one was injured and no one had to be brought to safety. The emergency services pumped out the water, the work took six hours. It was initially unclear where and how the leak originated.
