Bavaria: hotel fire in downtown Coburg – ten guests saved

Coburg (dpa / lby) - Ten hotel guests in Coburg were surprised by a fire alarm on Sunday night. They had to be taken outside by firefighters, some of them using turntable ladders. Nobody got hurt. The fire started in the kitchen of the downtown hotel. The cause was a short circuit in a refrigerated counter, the police said. The smoke then spread across the lobby. However, the fire was extinguished fairly quickly, allowing hotel guests to return to their rooms for the rest of the night.
