Bavaria: hunting voles: man shoots himself in hand

Blaichach (dpa / lby) - He wanted to catch voles and shot himself in the hand: A man was handling a mousetrap in the Allgäu and accidentally released the shooting mechanism. As the police also announced on Tuesday, the 57-year-old injured his hand so badly on Monday in Blaichach that he was taken to a hospital by helicopter. A police spokesman said it was an over-the-counter trap that worked with compressed air.
