Bergkirchen (dpa / lby) - A truck lost logs in an accident on Autobahn 8 in Upper Bavaria. Two lanes near Bergkirchen (Dachau district) were then blocked on Wednesday night, the police said. The 73-year-old truck driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He had left the road between the Sulzemoos and Dachau junctions in the direction of Munich for an unknown reason. His vehicle touched the guardrail for about 100 meters before it finally tipped to the side. The force of the impact loosened the loaded logs and spread them out on the road.
According to the police, the damage amounts to around 80,000 euros.
