Maßbach (dpa / lby) - A driver fell asleep on Autobahn 71 and caused a rear-end collision. The 42-year-old and another driver were slightly injured, the police said on Monday. It was initially unclear why the man fell asleep in his car in the middle of the highway.
The driver stayed in the left lane near Maßbach (Bad Kissingen district) on Saturday. According to the information, two drivers stopped on the hard shoulder and tried to wake the man. Another driver was not able to stop in time and drove into the 42-year-old's car. Both were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
