Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) - The Weberglockenmarkt in Neubrandenburg is closed due to the risk of black ice. "The freezing rain has now reached the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg and is causing an acute danger of black ice on the roads, footpaths and cycle paths," the city announced on Monday. Because of the weather and the resulting increased risk for pedestrians, the market will be closed early.
If the situation improves by Tuesday, the market will open again at the usual opening times, it said. The German Weather Service (DWD) had issued a black ice warning for all of northern Germany.
