Rambin (dpa/mv) - Unknown persons stole his safe and the valuables stored in it from a man from Rambin on the island of Rügen. As a police spokesman said on Monday, the incident occurred on Sunday night when the resident had not stayed in his apartment. The damage was given as well over 70,000 euros.
According to his own statements, the 56-year-old man noticed when he returned on Sunday evening that his apartment door was still closed, but no longer locked. When he checked, the metal safe, which held "items of considerable value," had been completely stolen. The police did not want to give details of the loot out of consideration for the investigation, this was "perpetrator knowledge."
The injured party stated that he left his apartment around 5 p.m. on Saturday and locked the door and only returned on Sunday evening. The perpetrators used force to break into the interior of the residential building in Rambin.
