Vohenstrauß (dpa / lby) - In a dispute in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, a 37-year-old was injured by shots from a stun gun. A 29-year-old fired several shots in the immediate vicinity of the victim's face late on Sunday in Vohenstrauß, the police said on Wednesday. The 37-year-old suffered injuries to his eyes and eardrum and was treated as an outpatient in the hospital. According to the officials, the cause of the argument was a dispute over a child.
Shots were first reported to the police. It was said that it was only possible to determine on site whether it was a sharp weapon or a blank pistol. The suspected shooter was arrested without resistance. He is now being investigated for dangerous bodily harm and a violation of the Weapons Act. A preliminary investigation into insult, threats and bodily harm was initiated against the victim.
