Bavaria: Pregnant missing: the police checked the woman's environment

Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - In the case of the pregnant woman from Nuremberg who has been missing for days, the investigators are now concentrating on the personal environment of the 39-year-old. The social and professional connections of the missing would also be checked with a view to a possible crime, a police spokesman said on Monday. According to the 24-strong special commission, it is no longer a pure missing person case. Furthermore, there is no indication of the whereabouts of the woman.

The investigators had previously announced that there were growing indications that the woman's disappearance could be the result of a crime. Cell phone tracking and the questioning of relatives as well as the use of search dogs at the woman's home address had so far led to no trace.

The woman's cash, ID and maternity passport were still at her place of residence. The investigators therefore assumed that the woman had not planned or left voluntarily. Her partner had reported the eight-month-pregnant woman missing on Friday last week because she had previously disappeared without a trace.
