Bavaria: Söder: Two large wind farms planned

Munich (dpa/lby) - The Bavarian state government sees a boost for new wind turbines in Bavaria after the relaxation of the 10H distance rule. Among other things, two new large wind farms are to be built in the Franconian Forest and in the so-called chemical triangle in south-eastern Bavaria, as Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) said on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting in Munich. According to this, 40 wind turbines are to be built in the chemical triangle, primarily in the state forest, to supply the local industry. Across Bavaria, between 300 and 340 systems are now being planned, requested or in some cases about to be approved, said Söder. "There is indeed a fresh breeze blowing for the wind."
