Kaufbeuren (dpa / lby) - A one-year-old boy locked himself in a car in Kaufbeuren. The little one's mother parked her car to go shopping on Wednesday, a police spokesman said. However, she left the car keys in the vehicle with her son. Whether intentional or accidental, police couldn't say. In any case, the boy quickly locked the car.
According to the police spokesman, the mother initially tried unsuccessfully to communicate with her child through the car window. She didn't know what else to do and went to the nearby office in her distress. As the car grew hotter, police officers smashed a window of the vehicle with an emergency hammer. Mother and son finally made their way home with a broken window but safe.
