Bavaria: warning of extreme thunderstorms in Upper Bavaria and Swabia

Munich (dpa / lby) - The German Weather Service warns of extreme thunderstorms in Upper Bavaria and Swabia. On Thursday afternoon until 6 p.m. there was a risk of flooding, hail and lightning, especially on the edge of the Alps in the Allgäu towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the DWD announced. Warning level four out of four applies. Trees could be uprooted and roofs damaged. Falling branches, roof tiles or objects flying around are a danger. Landslides are also possible, people should close windows and doors and avoid being outdoors as much as possible.
