Bayern: 1860 coach Jacobacci before debut: players "very willing"

Munich (dpa/lby) - Maurizio Jacobacci demands relaxation from his players on his debut as coach of TSV 1860 Munich in the 3rd football league. The team is very inquisitive, said the 60-year-old before the "Löwen" home game against Viktoria Cologne this Saturday (2:00 p.m.). "A very willing team - good guys who are sensitive," said Jacobacci on Friday. He wants each of his players to show themselves as a "man" on the pitch.

The sixties remained without a win in the four games after the separation from head coach Michael Köllner, the goal of promotion is a long way off. Jacobacci is pleased that his first game as a "Löwen" coach is taking place in front of a home crowd in the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse. That's an advantage, he said. "What's important is that we bring the spark to the audience. When that happens, we'll have a fantastic audience."

Jacobacci asked the Munich journalists on Friday not to publish a line-up for the game against Cologne. "So that we don't inform the opponent with internal information. That's important," said Jacobacci. The training lasted longer than planned, so that journalists could listen with curiosity.
