Bayern: 1860 Munich still without a win under Gorenzel: 0-0 in Halle

TSV 1860 Munich has forgotten how to win. Even against Halle it does not work with the hoped-for three. At least there is movement in the search for a coach.

Halle (dpa/lby) - TSV 1860 Munich did not win its fourth game under interim coach Günther Gorenzel and continues to lose touch with the promotion ranks in the 3rd football league. The "Lions" couldn't get more than 0-0 at Hallesches FC, who were threatened with relegation, on Friday and can probably bury their dreams of the 2nd Bundesliga for good.

Uncertain about the results of the past few days, the Munich team started extremely cautiously. Only from the middle of the first half did Giesinger create chances. Marcel Bär was about to take the lead for the "Löwen" after a little over half an hour, but was denied by Felix Gebhardt, who reacted strongly in the HFC goal.

Scoring chances were scarce for either side after the break, so the 1860 fans in the stands had their own party. Referee Richard Hempel briefly interrupted the game when pyrotechnics were ignited. While Halle was able to accept the draw, it was Bayern Munich's next setback against a team from the bottom of the table.

For Gorenzel it should have been the last game on the Munich sideline. "The goal is for us to find a trainer over the weekend. And then the goal is for this trainer to be there at the beginning of next week," he said at Magenta Sport. The most promising candidate to succeed Michael Köllner, who was released at the end of January, is assistant coach Stefan Reisinger.

The 41-year-old is currently completing his football teacher's license. For a transitional period, the German Football Association would be willing to let Reisinger work without the required license. "I have it in writing that it is theoretically possible," said Gorenzel.
