Munich (dpa / lby) - Sports Director Christian Winkler from EHC Red Bull Munich rates the two round of 16 games in the Ice Hockey Champions League against EV Zug as anticipated finals. "Two absolute top teams meet," said the official of the German runners-up before the first leg on Tuesday (7.30 p.m.) against the unbeaten Swiss in this premier season. "I think there will be two early finals."
In 2018/19, also in the round of 16 and in 2021/22 in the group phase, both teams in the premier class fought intense duels. "I see Zug as one of the heaviest teams in the pot," Winkler said of the draw in the first knockout round, which he had even predicted. "My reaction was: Here we go again."
