Bayern: Fürth before a "special evening": "We have something good to do"

Fürth (dpa / lby) - SpVgg Greuther Fürth wants to quickly forget the bitter defeat in the Frankenderby with a victory in the DFB Cup. "We have to do something well. We are aware of that," said Kleeblatt coach Marc Schneider before the first round game at the Oberliga club Stuttgarter Kickers on Saturday (6 p.m.). The atmosphere in the team is good. "The results so far do not match the performance," added the Swiss after just one point from the first two games in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Against Stuttgart, the Fürth coach expects a game similar to that in Nuremberg. "They're a very aggressive team that gets through tackles," said Schneider, who won the Swiss Cup as a player with FC Zurich in 2005. "Cup games are always special evenings. We want to experience more of them".

For the Kickers, the game against the game association is "the crowning glory". "But we're the outsiders - we're not that often," said coach Mustafa Ünal, announcing: "We have nothing to lose and are enjoying the atmosphere."

There were still question marks behind the appearances of Fürth's central defender Sebastian Griesbeck (31) and midfielder Max Christiansen (25) on Thursday. "Sebastian has not been able to train until today due to calf problems. Max took a hit from the derby," reported the coach.
