On Thursday, June 9, in the early hours of the morning, an accident took place on a forest site below the road connecting Plan du Chouet and Esserts-Blay.
He was working as a subcontractor to RTE and turned around with his backhoe. It was about 30m below the road. His vehicle crushed him.
The rescue operation involved twenty firefighters, including the Samu, Dragon74, and gendarmes.
The driver died instantly after everything was done to revive him.
Firefighters had to pull his body up using rope techniques.
To determine the circumstances of the accident, the gendarmes launched an investigation.
