Hesse: 19-year-old throws bottles and attacks police officers

Frankfurt (dpa/lhe) - A 19-year-old is said to have thrown bottles at an ambulance in Frankfurt and then attacked police officers. As the police announced on Sunday, there was a dispute between two groups of young people on Friday evening on the Zeil shopping street in a shopping center. One of the participants sprayed pepper spray into the crowd and fled. Rescuers tended to the injured people. The 19-year-old suspected bottle thrower was held by security staff until police arrived. When the officers took the young man to the police station, he resisted, insulting the officers and kicking and spitting at them.
