Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - After quarrels at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden, the state and the state capital want to take countermeasures as the sponsors of the house. The Ministry of Art and the city announced on Friday evening that measures had been agreed to improve internal processes and the working atmosphere. They were developed in close coordination between the sponsors - "based on feedback from the theater and the results of discussions that were held with employees as part of the externally prepared report".
State Secretary Ayse Asar and Wiesbaden's Head of Cultural Affairs, Axel Imholz, explained: "Unfortunately, the developments of the last few weeks and months have shown that the work situation and the working atmosphere are clearly disturbed and this is having a negative effect on both the condition of the employees and the operational processes ." It is therefore important to improve this situation quickly and sustainably.
Mediation between the director and the managing director is now planned, as well as a digital and anonymous survey of all employees on the work situation, including a transparent evaluation. If necessary, further measures would result from this, it said. In addition, a value-based code of conduct for the German Stage Association should be established as a service agreement, and rules of procedure should also aim for better cooperation between the stage management and the second management level.
