Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - In view of price increases, the energy and climate crisis, a social alliance has called for a rally in Frankfurt this Saturday (12 p.m.). Under the motto "Solidarity through the crisis. Real redistribution now!" should be demonstrated for more cohesion, social justice and an end to fossil dependence. The German Federation of Trade Unions, the Hessian Parity Welfare Association and 30 other environmental and social organizations support the call. Around 5,000 participants are expected, according to the Frankfurt regulatory office.
The demonstration in Frankfurt is one of six nationwide. It starts at 12.00 p.m. at the Roßmarkt. Rallies have also been announced in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Dresden and Stuttgart.
Another demo is being called for in the afternoon in Frankfurt, from which the "Solidarity Autumn" alliance is clearly distinguished: "We are a democratic, anti-racist alliance that does not deny the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and has no place for conspiracy theories ", said the district chairman of the DGB Hesse-Thuringia, Michael Rudolph.
