Hesse: Autobahn 7 closed for several hours due to truck fires

Homberg/Efze (dpa/lhe) - After a truck fire, the busy Autobahn 7 in northern Hesse was temporarily closed on Friday. A semi-trailer loaded with cars caught fire near the Homberg/Efze junction, the police in Kassel said on Friday. The driver was able to leave the cab unharmed. Because of the extinguishing work, the A7 was initially completely blocked in both directions. According to a police spokesman, the lanes were free again in the evening.
