Kassel (dpa/lhe) - The police arrested the driver who is said to have hit the bouncer of a club on the weekend in Kassel on purpose. The 34-year-old man was taken into custody for attempted murder, the police and prosecutors announced on Friday.
The investigators assume that the German national crashed his car head-on into the doorman in the night from Saturday to Sunday because he had not previously let him into the club. The 33-year-old was able to save himself at the last second by jumping to the side. He was injured in the leg.
The investigating authorities had tracked down the suspect after being referred to a witness. The arrest took place on Wednesday, but has only just become known.
