Hesse: Drunk truck driver damaged bridge on the A60

Rüsselsheim (dpa/lhe) - A drunk truck driver severely damaged a motorway bridge in a traffic accident near Rüsselsheim on Saturday night. On Saturday morning, Autobahn 60 in the direction of Frankfurt was completely closed, according to a police spokesman. The 32-year-old man left the road with his truck and crashed into the crash barriers on the bridge. The bridge structure was badly damaged as a result. The truck blocked the roadway. A test was carried out because of the smell of alcohol. This resulted in a value of more than two per thousand. The truck driver was not injured in the accident. There was damage of around 150,000 euros.
