Hesse: Fire in Frankfurt waste-to-energy plant

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - A fire in a waste-to-energy plant in Frankfurt prompted a fire brigade. Garbage stored in the power plant caught fire on Friday for reasons that are still unclear, according to a spokesman for the fire brigade in Frankfurt. There was never any danger to the public. The fire brigade issued information about odor nuisance via warning apps on Friday morning. Due to the smoke development, however, this was only done for informative reasons, according to the fire brigade spokesman.
