Viernheim (dpa / lhe) - Burnt food triggered a fire brigade operation in an apartment building in Viernheim (Bergstrasse district). A fire broke out while cooking in an apartment on the sixth floor, the police said. The 68-year-old resident could no longer extinguish the fire, but escaped from the apartment in time. She wasn't hurt.
Police say two firefighters suffered minor injuries and needed treatment. The amount of property damage was initially unclear.
