Hesse: ICE railway line free again after a landslide

Frankfurt (dpa/lhe) - After hindrances in ICE train traffic between Fulda and Hanau due to a landslide, the route has been released again. The clean-up work progressed faster than initially foreseeable, said a railway spokeswoman. Early Tuesday morning there was initially only one track available near Steinau an der Straße (Main-Kinzig-Kreis). There were train cancellations and delays, for example on the ICE connection Berlin - Frankfurt. Since Tuesday morning, only the ICE trains on the Wiesbaden - Dresden line have been affected by restrictions, the spokeswoman said. The connections between Wiesbaden and Fulda were canceled in both directions.
