Hesse: Minister of Justice visits the dog project in youth detention

Gelnhausen (dpa/lhe) - A dog is intended to help delinquent youths in the Main-Kinzig district with socialization. The project "Social Training with the Dog" is running in the Gelnhausen youth detention facility, which Hesse's Justice Minister Roman Poseck (CDU) will be visiting this Wednesday (1 p.m.). The animal helps "practice social behavior and self-responsibility, take responsibility and reduce stress," according to a statement. The aim of the project is to encourage and support young people and adolescents with different problems such as grief, aggression or isolation in learning norm-compliant behavior.
