Offenbach (dpa/lhe) - On the fourth Sunday in Advent, calm winter weather will prevail in Hesse. The day started foggy and cloudy, said the German Weather Service (DWD) on Saturday. In between, there are a few rays of sunshine with maximum values between minus 4 and 1 degree. In the course of the day dense clouds will gather, but it will remain dry until the evening. Rain will set in from the west on Monday night. According to the DWD, black ice can form. Temperatures drop to minus 3 to minus 7 degrees.
On Monday it will remain cloudy and rainy. In some areas there is still black ice. Over the course of the day, the rain from the south-west will subside. With maximum temperatures between three and six degrees, it will be significantly milder than in the past few days.
