Hesse: Trial against 25-year-olds after attempted murder begins

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - A 25-year-old woman has to answer to the Frankfurt Regional Court from Friday (9.15 a.m.) for attempted murder of an 81-year-old passer-by. The indictment accuses her of pushing a passer-by to the ground without warning in October last year in the underground B level at Frankfurt's main guard station and critically injuring her with two knife wounds in the lower abdomen. She then attempted to take the victim's bag. However, the robber was overpowered by passers-by. The jury has initially scheduled four days of trial until mid-December.
