Hessen: Hessen Forst reports on climate-stable afforestation

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The state company Hessen Forst wants to present today how the state forest should be reforested in a climate-stable manner. State Secretary for the Environment Oliver Conz and the operations manager of Hessen Forst, Michael Gerst, present the 2021 sustainability report at the meeting in the forest near Wiesbaden. Drought, storms and pests have caused serious damage to the forest in Hesse in recent years, and large areas are fallow. Reforestation work is in progress throughout Hesse.
