Hanau (dpa / lhe) - Another bomb from the Second World War has been found on the site of a former barracks in Hanau. Experts from the explosive ordnance clearance service blew them up in a controlled manner on Friday evening, according to the city administration. All evacuated residents could return home. In a distance of 300 meters around the discovery site in Pioneer Park, roads had been closed and around 60 residents had to leave their homes. The aircraft bomb, weighing around 50 kilograms, was found on Friday afternoon during construction work.
