High mountains. Crevoux: Fairies trail: What's new on the poetic and artistic hike Crevoux?

La Chalp was the first to inaugurate the 2022 Fairies Trail. This year, the artistic route features six new works. They were signed by three men and three ladies who arrived in Crevoux for a 15-day residence. It took a very brief time to complete a major work in the mountains. Some were finished late at night, the day before the inauguration. The artists used only natural materials, and local wood.

Each artist was able to comment on his work during this first visit and answer questions.

Jette Mellgren is from Denmark. His work, Squeezed, invites us to think about the pressures that nature is under from human activity. It also offers a place to hear and experience "pure nature".

Marie Toulotte is from Grenoble. It invites you into its Abraise where it reminds of a pine cone that opens and closes depending upon the humidity level.

It is from Italy that Maurizio Perron was born. This is a reflection of the Covid crisis. It reflects on the distance and isolation of each as well as the inability to travel with an empty bag.

Reka Szabo is from Romania. Reka Szabo is from Romania. She will suspend her large Hammock made of wood. You'll be invited to take a moment of contemplation at the heart of the forest.

Arnaud Sarteur comes from Marseilles. It is inspired by the Bories' ancestral structures and seeks to question their function. Hikers are invited to stop by for a sensitive stopover.

The sixth piece is intentionally incomplete. Roland Cros, the artist who assisted the Collective of Fairies in constructing a new cabin for them to live in, creates an ambitious and massive project that will go on all summer.

The Fairies Trail is a moderate hike with a slight drop of 290m. It climbs along the torrent towards Razis waterfall. The return follows the Chenevier canal, which is surrounded by shade and freshness. This takes between 2 and 3 hours. The park will be open from June to September. The organizing group asks that visitors-walkers contribute EUR2 per person to help remunerate artists. Children under 12 years old can contribute EUR1 to the cause. You can spend the night in some cabins.
